grumpygeorge is a husband and wife business. We specialise on top quality canvas prints. We do your images as well as ours. We do special one off requests as well.
Our current status
Easter is over and grumpy has now to be at his wee shop every day till end of October, and thats great, cos grumpy loves it all.

We asure you that we do not compromise on materials quality. We only use HP Vivera inks in our HP Z3100 printer, and one of the very best top quality canvas available.
The wood we use is best quality finger jointed Baltic pine with tension wedges and braced at 30 inch or longer.
All canvas prints will have been given a protective coat of giclee varnish.
Everything we make and sell is ONLY available on this website or at our shop. We trust that you will appreciate when checking our prices, that we try to keep the goods at a reasonable selling price.
We put black borders round images for website presentation purposes only. Your canvas prints will have approx. 3 inch (75mm) colour or grey spare canvas for wrapping round a frame.
All sizes of prints are available at "SKYELARK" the gift shop at the pier, Armadale, Isle of Skye. There, they can be purchased framed or un-framed. That is our gift shop/work studio combination where you can just call in and see grumpygeorge at work. You can see and purchase framed canvas prints from 12 x 12 inch square up to 24 x 60 inch panorama. Also, available at the shop are (photo paper) 8 x 12 inch images in mounts, 6 x 4 inch open folded mounts and 3 1/2 inch square textured fine art images on cards.
The photo paper we use is Kodak Premium rapid dry lustre 260g. This is a top quality paper and the printer adds a gloss varnish on top, giving it that bit extra protection. The quality of the finish is exceptional.
Photo mounts are, outside = 14 x 11inches, and aperture = aprox 11.1/2 x 7.3/4 inches. (white)
Open folding mounts, outside = 6 x 8 inches and aperture = aprox 3.3/4 x 5.3/4 inches. (white)

Can grumpygeorge print your image? Yes.
Are there any conditions to this? Yes: Email or phone us! The worst that can happen is that the quality of your photo is not good enough to print clearly or well from, and if so, we will tell you... very kindly!
Grumpy is happy to print your image on photo paper or canvas so long as its reasonable quality at the size you want it done. Your image quality control may be a wee bit less than grumpys and grumpy respects this space area.
