grumpygeorge is a husband and wife business. We specialise on top quality canvas prints. We do your images as well as ours. We do special one off requests as well.
Our current status
Easter is over and grumpy has now to be at his wee shop every day till end of October, and thats great, cos grumpy loves it all.

Who we are
grumpygeorge is a small business run by George and Serena Smart. We do all the work ourselves.
We have a small retail shop by the pier at Armadale called Skyelark. Its 50 mtrs straight see photo ahead as you drive off the ferry. The shop has a gift area with grumpygeorge at the far end slaving away all day every day all summer from dawn tae dusk!!!! You can watch grumpygeorge at work while getting free tips from him about your camera.
All photo editing, printing and framing is done by grumpygeorge and his wife, Serena, (an artist) keeps a watchful eye on him.

1951, born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Doric by birth and by person. Doric being almost a different language. eg; "fit like, foo`r ye deein?" translating into, 'hello, how are you doing?'
History
He left farming in his early 30s, moved to Mintlaw, where he created and developed a very successful garden centre. He was known there as Mr Happy Plant. After 20 years, he decided to semi-retire and moved to the scenic west coast of Scotland where he bought a wee digital camera. He got enthusiastic with the potential of what he could do with this camera, and that combined with a long hidden artistic ability, soon proved to be catching folks attention. He bought a "BIG" digital camera! (He could afford to, after 20 years hard labour!) So, he is now happy to showcase his creations here on this website.
